Welcome to Convent Junior School

It is an honour for me as Principal to welcome you to our wonderful school.  The Convent Junior School, Castleblayney, is a unique educational environment where we focus on the holistic development of your child. We are an infant school and we foster values of courtesy, consideration and individual responsibility along with ensuring that every child reaches their potential both academically and personally.

There is no doubt that the achievement of our students is built upon the partnership between students, parents and staff. I firmly believe that a strongly led school is strongly led by many. I know that with the excellent staff team we have here we can ensure that your child achieves the very best. Through partnership we continue to enhance and strengthen the success of the Convent Junior School.

As a Catholic co-educational school, we strive to provide the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral, social and cultural needs of our pupils and whilst our school is a school with a Catholic Ethos, we also welcome other beliefs from which we all learn understanding and tolerance..
