Hello to everyone at home,
The postcards from An Post were delivered to me today and I thought they are such a wonderful opportunity for our children to write in a meaningful way.
It would be lovely to help the children write a postcard to someone they love who is missing them during this difficult time.
Writing a postcard presents many learning opportunities. Use a practice page or just some scraps of paper to get started, I have provided an example in the image. Our younger students could practise writing their names while older students might like to learn to write Castleblayney, Monaghan or Ireland. Practise hearing and writing sounds together as you try new words.
Most importantly, it is such a nice way to reach out to and connect with those we love.
Come Together. Write Now. Ag Seoladh Grá.
